Access routes to RAD Registered Teacher Status

RAD RTS opens the door to benefits designed to improve your teaching and bring recognition of your skills and experience. This allows you to enter students for our exams and inclusion in our Register of Teachers.
You can become eligible for RAD RTS by completing one of our undergraduate, postgraduate or RAD Award programmes. If, however, you are a dance student or recent graduate studying with another provider, you may be able to gain RAD RTS by studying on one of our Access Routes.
For more information take a look at our prospectus.
Language of Delivery
The language of delivery is English. If this is not your first language, we recommend you visit the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) website to assess your level of language competency. Although a language test is not a condition of entry, it is a good indicator of the standard of English needed for you to be able to complete your studies. You should meet the requirements for a score of 6 overall.
Additional Study Materials
In addition to the course materials provided through our Virtual Learning Environment, you will need to buy or have access to selected RAD syllabus resources (books, DVDs, CDs) and educational texts. Full details of the additional study resources will be provided once you have been offered a place.
Applying via an Approved Partner
If you are applying via one of our approved providers (Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts HKAPA, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, USA, Preston College, UK) you must still submit an application form. Applications from students and recent graduates (within two years of graduation) from approved providers are automatically accepted onto programme.
