Step into a world of dance this summer!
Come and enjoy a fun-filled week of dancing with us this summer. This programme is designed for young aspiring dancers. It provides an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in dance, learning within a creative environment, from top professional teachers in the industry whilst making friends with like-minded students from the UK and abroad. The week will enhance students’ dance technique and artistry and culminates in a sharing of work on the final day of the course—all taking place within the Academy’s world-class purpose-built studios and facilities.
With great National and International travel connections, RAD London welcomes you to immerse yourself in a full-programme of dance each summer.
Highlights of the programme include:
- A trip to see a performance at one of London’s top dance theatres
- Experience a range of classes with a strong focus on ballet technique, building into classical repertoire, contemporary technique, and choreography

- The chance to be taught by professional teachers with years of experience within the industry

About the faculty…
Luca Acri
Ballet technique and Classical Repertoire Faculty
Luca Acri is a First Soloist of The Royal Ballet. He began his training at the Acri-Horimoto Ballet Academy in Japan, and was a finalist for the 2010 Prix de Lausanne. That year he entered The Royal Ballet Upper School and graduated into the Company during the 2012/13 Season, promoted to First Artist in 2014, Soloist in 2015 and First Soloist in 2019.
Acri’s repertory with The Royal Ballet includes Basilio (Don Quixote), The Prince, Hans-Peter/Nutcracker (The Nutcracker), Franz (Coppélia), Florizel (Winter’s Tale), Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), Colas and Alain (La Fille mal gardée), Puck (The Dream), Bluebird and Florestan (The Sleeping Beauty), Lescaut (Manon), Henry Clerval (Frankenstein), Bratfisch (Mayerling), Hilarion (Giselle), Benno(Swan Lake), lead roles in Rhapsody, Requiem, and roles in Solo Echo, Dances at a Gathering, Jewels, Symphonic Variations, Within the Golden Hour, Chroma, Woolf Works and Asphodel Meadows. He has created roles in Liam Scarlett’s The Age of Anxiety and Symphonic Dances, Crystal Pite’s Light of Passage, Hofesh Shechter’s Untouchable, Wayne McGregor’s Obsidian Tear and The Dante Project.
Isabella Gasparini
Ballet technique and Classical Repertoire Faculty
Isabella was born in São Paulo and trained at Ballet Marcia Lago (her mother’s school), with Toshie Kobayashi and at Canada’s National Ballet School. She joined Northern Ballet in 2007, where she danced for five years, and performed with English National Ballet and New English Ballet Theatre before joining The Royal Ballet in 2014. She is currently a First Soloist and just completed a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing.
Gasparini’s Royal Ballet roles have included The Fairy Spring and The Fairy Autumn (Cinderella), Clara and Rose Fairy (The Nutcracker), Princess Florine and Fairy of the Song Bird (The Sleeping Beauty), Blue Girl (Les Patineurs), Amour (Don Quixote), Neapolitan and Prince Siegfried’s Sister (Swan Lake), Princess Stephanie and Princess Louise (Mayerling), Justine (Frankenstein), Zulme (Giselle), Vera (A Month in the Country) and in ‘Emeralds’ (Jewels), Light of Passage, Woolf Works, Rhapsody, Scènes de ballet, Solo Echo, Viscera and The Dante Project. She has created roles in Flight Pattern, Untouchable, Symphonic Dances, Corybantic Games, Woolf Works and Chencha in Like Water for Chocolate. Her awards include gold medal in the 2003 Youth America Grand Prix.
Hannah Rudd
Contemporary faculty
Hannah Rudd, a versatile dance artist based in London, UK, seamlessly blends dance and theatre in her multidisciplinary practice. Trained at The Royal Ballet School, her career has been marked by engagements with esteemed companies including Rambert Dance Company, Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet, The Michael Clark Company and Ballet Ireland. Since 2021, Hannah has embarked on independent collaborations, spanning theatre, film, studio, and community-based environments in collaboration with Fallen Angels Dance Theatre and Outside Edge Theatre.
Beyond her expertise as a dance artist, she extends her talents to choreography, direction, and teaching in both dance and yoga. She is currently The Dance Ambassador for Fallen Angels Dance Theatre, The Contemporary Dance Tutor at Elmhurst School for Ballet and Dance, and The Inclusive Dance facilitator for BalletBoyz.
Hannah is fervently dedicated to using dance as a means to foster inclusive human connections and cultivate a supportive community environment. Holding a Masters in Dance Psychology, she brings a unique perspective to her artistic endeavours.
Currently, Hannah Is an independent dance artist, choreographer and teacher, working in the UK and internationally.
Jacob Wye
Contemporary faculty
Jacob Wye joined Ballet Black in 2012 and Rambert in 2017, performing works by Hofesh Shechter, Wayne McGregor and Ben Duke. After training at the Royal Ballet Lower School and Central School of Ballet, he appeared as “Siegfried” in Peaky Blinders and in music videos for Jessie Ware and Years & Years. He performed in The Marvels and Beetlejuice 2, Longchamp’s Strand Event, was assistant choreographer for Hermès Brides De Gala immersive event, and was a part of the choreography team for the Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, creating for and rehearsing over 800 dancers. A regular guest artist for the Royal Ballet and Opera’s Linbury Stage projects, he featured in the dance and text plays, “The Limit” (Lemons, Lemons, Lemons by Sam Steiner) and Ruination (Lost Dog). Recently making his west end debut, Jacob played The Dignitary, in Tegan Summers Theatrics production, Mozart Her Story. Jacob created the role of The Reflection in Kim Brandstrup’s “Echo/Narcissus” and performed at The Theatre De La Ville in the trio, “Mixtape” a new work from Liam Francis. Supporting many creation processes as collaborator, Jacob has worked alongside Jess & Morgan and Fallen Angels and has created original work for Graduate Students around England and in China. He is also ambassador for Chance to Dance- the Royal Ballet and Opera’s outreach program. Jacob is currently Associate Choreographer for Ballet Black and a Cheshire Dance Trustee.
Who can attend?
Senior Summer School students should currently be studying the Vocational Graded ballet syllabus Intermediate up to Advanced 2, or the equivalent, and therefore be familiar with the ballet terminology and phrases at Intermediate level or above. There is no audition, selection, or elimination process. Students will be grouped by the Artistic Team according to their age and the information provided on their application relating to their Grade in ballet and other dance experience. Please ensure your application is accurate.
Students can be studying the RAD ballet syllabus or another ballet syllabus, and are not required to have RAD Membership to be eligible to attend the London Summer School. Please review our syllabus vocabulary if you are unsure what level they are currently studying.

Venue
The Summer School will be held at our purpose-built studios in London. Please find helpful information for how to reach us.
Classes
All students will participate in classical ballet technique and contemporary technique classes in the morning, followed by repertoire and choreography/creative sessions in the afternoon.
- Please note the Summer School will not include pointe work.
- Classes will be approximately 1.5 hours in duration each.

A full timetable will be included in the final Information Pack sent to all attendees following the closing date.
Students will have a short morning and afternoon break with a longer lunch break in the middle of the day.
On the day of the theatre trip there will be a later finish and on the Saturday, hours will vary for the open day.
Theatre trip
As part of the Senior Summer School students will attend an evening performance at one of London’s top dance theatres with pizza provided at the RAD beforehand. Please note, coaches will be provided to escort all students to the theatre and parents must collect students under 18 from the theatre after the show.
Rambert Dance in Peaky Blinders The Redemption of Thomas Shelby

Rambert’s thrilling stage adaptation captures the Peaky Blinders story, with stunning performances from Rambert’s dancers and an iconic soundtrack from a live on-stage band.
Opening in the trenches of Flanders, a personal story unfolds in post-war industrial Birmingham as the Shelby family navigate the decisions that determine their fate. Meanwhile Tommy is intoxicated by mysterious newcomer, Grace. As Tommy builds his empire, Grace is operating as an undercover agent for Special Branch on a mission to get close to the heart of Tommy’s gang. As the story unfolds, hearts are broken, and revenge is sought. Key points of the story are illuminated by Narrator Benjamin Zephaniah (Jeremiah in the TV series).
Tuition Award
One tuition award will be presented to a student (at any level) who has shown significant improvement at the RAD Senior Summer School. The award is one week’s tuition at an RAD Summer School in 2026 or 2027.
Lunch
Students must bring a packed lunch each day as this will not be provided. Snacks and drinks will be available for students during the breaks. All dietary requirements should be submitted at the time of applying.
Discounts
RAD members discount: students who are members of the RAD will receive a discounted price. Please enter your RAD ID when prompted to do so during the booking process to receive this discount.
Sibling discounts: Two sibling students: 10% off total cost of tuition fee, and three or more sibling students: 20% off total cost of tuition fees. Please contact the Learning and Participation Team by emailing participate@rad.org.uk to retrieve the discount code prior to booking.
Group discounts: A 10% discount will be applied to the tuition fee for groups of 10-15 students. Please contact the Learning and Participation Team by emailing participate@rad.org.uk to secure places. Please note, group bookings are subject to availability.
